Thank Goodness for Rain

Today we finally got some badly needed rain! Although we definitely need more it was fantastic to get some relief from this intense drought. Hopefully this is the start to some better weather, and we will get more nice soaking rainstorms.

Fall is just a few weeks away so right now the big project on the farm is cleaning up old beds and planting the cool weather crops like radishes, fall peas, lettuce, and Asian greens! I can’t wait for all the bright new crops we’ll have in just a few short weeks.

In just four short weeks we will be at the Olde Mistick Village Garlic Festival! Right now we are cleaning, sorting and braiding our amazing garlic harvest to get ready. We will have three different varieties of heirloom garlic, garlic braids, and bulk. I am getting super excited for the festival and I can’t wait to see you all there!

See you on Friday!
