One More Week!
It is week 19 of the 2022 C.S.A and I can hardly believe that the season is almost over. This past year has been one of the most challenging growing seasons in years. From critters eating over 40 seeded trays in our greenhouse this spring, to over two months without rain and 90 degree heatwaves. But we’ve made it through all kinds of crazy weather with some very exciting firsts this year as well! We took part in two full season farmers markets, we attended the Mystic garlic festival as vendors, and have had amazing fresh bouquets every week since April, over 39 weeks straight! Thank you so much for being a part of this amazing community.
This week the weather has definitely shifted into fall. I love this time year, I can finally wear my favorite sweaters, enjoy hot coffee and soup. This is also the perfect weather for growing salad greens!
Arugula is taking center stage this week, as both baby greens and microgreens. Arugula has a lovely nutty, peppery flavor that we have been enjoying in tacos, breakfast sandwiches, of course salads! Try adding dried fruit, and nuts to your salad for a fall treat.
See you on Friday!
