Busy As Bees
With Summer in full swing and New England weather living up to it’s reputation of being unpredictable, this has been a busy week at the farm. Each day has been full of weeding, planting and seeding including some of our fall crops already! A new batch of salad greens and radishes are growing fast and each day the tomato plants seem to grow more and more.
The herb for this week is Ice tea herbs! Ice tea herbs are a combination of Pineapple sage, Mint, and Lemon balm. Add them to ice tea, sun tea or even just to a pitcher of water in your fridge to give it a light herbal sweetness.
At our house we have been using our Asian greens, kohlrabi and scallions to make tasty summer ramen, and adding edible flowers to breakfast to start the day off with a little extra beauty. What has been your favorite way to use your fresh veggies?
See you all on Friday!
