Just Keep Growing
I am very happy that the weather seems to be evening out some this past week, even if that means it is warmer then I would want. The plants are loving the steady heat and growing more by the day. The tomatoes are covered in beautiful green fruit that are fast approaching ripe. The beans and eggplant are also growing like there is no tomorrow.
This week you have the option in your share to try lemon verbena! Lemon verbena is best known as a tasty herbal tea, but it can also be used in baking or even as a fancy cocktail ingredient. Try it in sweet or savory dishes like roasted chicken or herbal sugar to add to any baking project.
This week my family enjoyed our edible flowers on top of breakfast sandwiches and topping homemade soup with chopped up scallions. Be sure to stay tuned to our social media for more updates on the farm and pretty pictures.
