First CSA of Summer!

Welcome to the first whole season CSA pick of 2022! This is our second year in business and I am so excited for what is in store for this summer. There is already so much happening at the farm right now. Between seeding and planting dozens of trays of just as many kinds of veggies, herbs and flowers, to weeding, harvesting and more it really is the busiest time of the year.

This year we are going to be attending two farmers markets! You will be able to find us at the Montville and Ledyard farmers markets with all the fun heirloom veggies and flowers we have on Fridays! Don’t for get to follow both markets on facebook and instagram for weekly updates and to see what is happening at the market!

This time of year there are so many tasty vegetables just starting to be in season, including one of my favorites, pea tendrils! Pea tendrils come from the top of the vine and are a bright green color. they are best raw, chopped into a salad, added to a sandwich or used as a yummy garnish to other dishes.

I can’t wait to keep exploring the amazing world of heirloom vegetables, flowers and herbs this season!
