Heat Wave

This past week the weather has been in high summer mode, with little rain. It seems odd to be frustrated with blue skies, but this farmer is praying for a nice summer thunderstorm. In order to water all our plants we mostly use a soaker hoses and a normal garden hose, and although this method works just fine the plants always seem to be happier when we get a nice rain storm.

This coming Monday we will be harvesting our garlic for the 2022 season! This week you will be getting fresh garlic that has not been cured for winter storage yet, but in a few weeks your garlic will be completely dried and ready for more long term storage.

The cherry tomatoes are trucking away and are now covered in tiny green fruits! I am so excited for the heirloom tomatoes and everything we use them for. From tomato sandwiches, tasty salad toppings, homemade pizza and more tomatoes are truly one of my favorites.
